“Helichrysum”

Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum)

Also known as immortelle, this golden sun-shaped flower is a sought-after species thoughtfully harvested from seaside mountain cliffs in Italy. Helichrysum has been used historically throughout Europe for its potent skin soothing and replenishing properties. Its essential oils contain a range of phytochemicals that help regenerate skin, unearthing in a youthful glow. It also helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, making helichrysum a multi-tasking powerhouse.

Carrot (Daucus carota sativa)

Wild carrot, also known as Queen Anne’s lace for its delicate white flowers, has longstanding use as an herbal remedy. The seed oils of this root vegetable are packed with nutrients that do wonders for skin health and vitality. Carrot seed oil is incredibly rich in numerous antioxidants which work to protect and rejuvenate skin.

Prickly Pear (Opuntia ficus-indica)

As its name suggests, this prickly cactus fruit is an integral part of both the Sicilian landscape and diet. Sourced with care from the volcanic region near Italy’s Mount Etna, prickly pear boasts high concentrations of omega-6 fatty acids and linoleic acid, which are known to stimulate skin renewal. It also has a high vitamin E content which protects and replenishes the skin. It is beautifully hydrating due to the presence of oleic and stearic acid, lending softness to skin.

Apricot (Prunus armeniaca)

Extracted from the kernels, or seeds, of apricots, the array of fatty acids found in apricot oil help to soften and moisturize parched skin for a smoother look and feel. Apricot oil also works to help other essential oils absorb for an added boost to your skin’s hydration and nourishment.

Meadowfoam (Limnanthes alba)

This lipid-rich seed oil is renowned for its ability to hydrate skin without imparting a greasy feel. The nourishing effect means moisture is retained in the skin more readily for a smooth and supple feel. Meadowfoam also contains docosahexaenoic acid, an essential fatty acid, as well as other monounsaturated fatty acids which provide an added hydrating effect.

Borage (Borago officinalis)

A beautiful star-shaped wildflower, borage was once used as an ingredient in ancient love potions. Borage oil does double duty in our formulation to act as an emollient to protect and hydrate dry skin to prevent dryness. The gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) contained in the oil has been used topically to boost skin structure and function.

Ideal for hot summer days, grape has been used historically as an antimicrobial. Grape seed oil brings a potent blend of fatty acids and vitamin E, an antioxidant, which help reduce the look of uneven skin tone including dark spots.
